According to Mindy-I'm-not-sure-I-like-GPD-Fothergill, GPD's IA has an ongoing investigation and recently promoted,(oh boy, she allegedly did a no-no and she still got promoted?)Kim Santos, former spokesperson of GPD: "surrounds allegations that Lieutenant Santos did not sign leave for time she took away from work to attend school under the Doc Sanchez Scholarship. The Guam Police is not releasing any information about the investigation because it is a personnel matter. Lieutenant Santos was moved from her position as the Department's spokesperson and transferred to the head of the Criminal Investigation Division."
Okay.....so, in my book(I know, you're not interested in what's in my book but I'm going to tell you anyway....), if you're on the time clock and I'm paying you to do my work and you're out doing something else, you're stealing.....something like theft by deception...if you're a cop and you're supposed to be doing PIO work and you're going to college instead......and getting paid to do PIO work.....you're cheating........you should pay back the pay that you took while you were going to school....pure and simple.....she's a lieutenant and she should be giving a good example to other police officers. If the others see that she gets away with going to school and not signing leave, then it's okay for the goose....the gander shall do likewise........if it's true....she shouldn't be allowed to get away with it!
