According to Andi Atterbery of KUAM (read the article on their webpage): "Bill 54 intends to do away with the stamping of individual eggs, and proposes to take the cost of eggs down with it. Speaker mark forbes explained, saying, "Right now Guam is probably the last jurisdiction in the United States that requires eggs to be stamped individually; this adds to the cost of eggs and its an outdated regulation from a long time ago that has been supplanted everywhere else in the states except here so getting rid of it makes doing business easier but it still protects the health of the entire people of Guam, since the entire box has to be inspected and may actually reduce, by a very small amount the cost of eggs. According to the legislation, as of now, Guam's administrative rules require that the origin of eggs be stamped on each egg individually, forcing egg produces apply an added cost that is eventually borne by local consumers. As much as 10% of the freight on board coast is added to the packaged product cost. "
Now......isn't that just what you want your favorite elected rep to do for you? You don't want him/er to fix the roads, make sure there's enough cops/firepersons employed just incase you need them, a pharmacists working for less than the governor was making and still making enemies of his employees, and terrorizing the doctors by making excuses about drugs being released or not released for sale worldwide as in the case of those used by OB/GYNs...me thinks the clowns are asinine? Does that work in a sentence? Whatever, in plain language, they're thinking process is stupid is as stupid does...I say, let's fix the price of gasoline before we attack what causes cholesterol....Bill 54 should be a filler bill, something that someone daydreams about when all the important stuff this island needs have already been met....but that's in a perfect world and that would mean that we would have real people working at the legislature rather than people pretending to be people......instead of clowns who think Hawaiian wear is going to affect the economy if you wear same once a week......oh god, get me off this soapbox!!!!!!!!!!
