THEY'RE SCARED AT THE CIRCUS...SO WILL THE CLTC MEET IN SECRET? AGAIN?
The likes of the CLTC, the Chamorro Land Trust Commission, in case you've been under some rock, has been meeting with aliens over some prime land which overlooks the Tumon.....where the old GMH once stood.
There was supposed to be a big meet at the circus today but some of those peoples were afraid big time and called it off because they feared there'd be trouble.....hmmmm, could it be that it might be because they've been meeting in the dark of night and in secret? Making deals with some of the most precious property the island has to offer? I'm not stupid...I'm all for profit. We need the economic boost but also think that we can meet in public with cameras going and can please the alien and the wants and needs of the Chamorro people to have a place to re-bury their unearthed dead and store that which tells the story of the people in the form of a museum. There is such a thing as a 'win-win' situation....but I seriously don't think that it takes place in some dark room where reporters aren't allowed and freedom of information can be invoked.
Obviously people from the land of Dragons (and money) want to lease it and make the commission of CLTC rich beyond their dreams by building condos, hotel rooms and minimalls, not all the papers were saved while I was away so not sure what the dragon-like building is going to house but understand that little will remind any current and future visitor that this is the land of the tribal Chamorro....missing from the dragon-like structure are the mysterious ..Latte(you guessed it, dragons and latte stones don't match) Stone structures or A-frame type structures that might even match the little chapel not far from the site at the Hilton Hotel...The drawings are beautiful....but they belong on a cliffline somewhere in Taiwan and not at Oka Point or whatever point we're calling it these days....shame on us for being so money hungry that we're willing to sell our souls and culture for images of the dragon and other things Chinese! The Statue at the Airport reigns!
